MY STORY
In the year 1998, my father took me to a Village Jatara near Suryapet. It was a celebration for Goddess Ellamma. People were dancing to pedda puli songs. But in the middle of all that, something else caught my eye entirely. A white colored Ford Escort came gliding through the procession. I had never seen a car like that before. A vehicle fallen straight from the skies. I ran after it, but it didn’t stop. I begged my father to do something, but he couldn’t make it happen. I was extremely disappointed, and didn’t eat or sleep.
To console me, my father promised he would take me to Hyderabad and show me the car. I pestered him every day for the next 15 days before he realized he had to do something about it.
So he asked around town to find the owner of the car. It turned out to belong to a Congress MLA from the area. My father went to him and explained how much I had fallen in love with the car. The MLA was very kind and without a second thought, called his driver and asked him to take me and my father for a ride around town. It was the most memorable thing of my childhood. I loved that car and have fallen in love with cars ever since. I forgot all about the Jatara, and I promised to one day own a Ford Escort myself.
Years later I skipped school and went to work at Ford Hyderabad and Hyundai Hyderabad for over 5 years before buying my first car. They had discontinued Ford Escorts by that time, so I searched all over Hyderabad for a used car and finally bought a white colored Ford Escort in pristine condition. All my friends loved my car, and started asking me to find good used cars for them too.
And, that’s how I got into the Used Car Business.
